Tamilnadu Style Carrot Beans Poriyal | కమ్మనైన తమిళనాడు స్పెషల్ క్యారెట్ బీన్స్ వేపుడు| in Telugu
A very simple, easy, tasty and healthy carrots and green beans veg/vegan side dish with coconut powder. Try and Let us know how it turned out for you.
Ingredients:
Chopped Carrots - 1 Cup
Chopped Beans - 1 Cup
Chopped onions - 1 Small Cup
Green Chillies - 5
Turmeric Powder - A Pinch
Salt - As per taste
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Split Chickpeas (Chana Dal) - 1 tbsp
Dry Coconut Powder - 2 tbsp
Oil - 3 tbsp
Coriannder - 1/2 cup
Method:
Step 1: Heat oil on over medium heat. When hot add mustard seeds and let them start to pop.
Step 2: Add Cumin seeds and let it fry.
Step 3: Split Chickpeas (Chana Dal) over medium low, and cook until dal changes color. 15 to 30 seconds.
Step 4: Add chilies Mix and cook for 30 seconds.
Step 5: Add Carrots and Green beans, Salt mix well.
Step 6: Add 1/2 cup water, mix, cover and cook for 10-12 minutes.
Step 7: Add coconut powder and mix well. Cover and cook until the beans are 75% cooked.Taste and adjust salt if required.
Step 8: Add coriander, Mix and cook for a minute.
Step 9: Serve hot with Dal/Sambar/Rasam/Roti.
